Cancellation of events

The congress organizer is entitled to cancel an event for economic reasons – e.g. due to insufficient number of participants.

Changes in the course of the event

If speakers cannot meet the deadline for the provision of the service due to force majeure, illness, accident or other circumstances for which the congress organizer is not responsible, the congress organizer is entitled, to the exclusion of any liability for damages, to appoint a substitute speaker or to name an alternative date.

We reserve the right to make justifiable deviations from the announced programs or to change speakers and do not entitle to compensation. The congress organizer reserves the right to replace individual presentations at the event or to omit them if the circumstances make this necessary.

Use of event documents

Congress participants recognize the lecturer’s copyright to the works created by them (presentation documents, etc.). Duplication and / or distribution of the aforementioned works by the congress participant requires the prior written consent of the speaker.

Participants are not authorized to copy license material that is handed out for training and information purposes. Licensed material are data processing programs and / or licensed data stocks (databases) in machine-readable form including the associated documentation

Liability

Claims for damages against the congress organizer due to the impossibility of performance, negligence in the conclusion of the contract and unauthorized actions are excluded, unless there is intentional or negligent action.

The congress organizer is not liable for the information provided, neither for its correctness and completeness, nor for the fact that it is free of third party rights or that the transmission of the information is illegal or immoral.

Final provisions

Individual clauses of these general terms and conditions that are wholly or partially ineffectiv, the effectiveness of the remaining contractual clauses or parts of these clauses remains unaffected. The relevant statutory provisions take the place of the ineffective or missing clauses. The parties will then implement the conditions with an effective replacement regulation that comes closest to the purpose pursued with the omitted provision.

Austrian law applies exclusively to the conditions and their implementation.

The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all claims from the contract related to these terms and conditions and these terms and conditions is the seat of the congress organizer.

Absagen von Veranstaltungen

Der Kongress-Veranstalter ist berechtigt, eine Veranstaltung aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen – z.B. wegen zu geringer Teilnehmerzahl – abzusagen.

Änderungen im Veranstaltungsverlauf

Kann der Termin zur Erbringung der Leistung durch einen der Vortragenden wegen höherer Gewalt, Krankheit, Unfall oder sonstigen, vom Kongress-Veranstalter nicht zu vertretenden Umständen, nicht eingehalten werden, ist der Kongress-Veranstalter unter Ausschluss jeglicher Schadensersatzpflichten berechtigt, einen Ersatzreferenten zu verpflichten oder einen Ersatztermin zu benennen.

Vertretbare Abweichungen von angekündigten Programmen bzw. der Wechsel von Referenten bleiben vorbehalten und berechtigen nicht zum Schadenersatz. Der Kongress-Veranstalter behält sich das Recht vor, einzelne Vorträge der Veranstaltung zu ersetzen oder entfallen zu lassen, sofern die Umstände dies notwendig machen.

Nutzung von Veranstaltungsunterlagen

Der Kongress-Teilnehmer anerkennt das Urheberrecht der Vortragenden an den von diesem erstellten Werken (Präsentationsunterlagen, usw.). Eine Vervielfältigung und/oder Verbreitung der vorgenannten Werke durch den Kongress-Teilnehmer bedarf der vorherigen, schriftlichen Einwilligung des Vortragenden.

Die Teilnehmer sind nicht befugt, Lizenzmaterial, das zu Schulungs- und Informationszwecken ausgehändigt wird, zu kopieren. Lizenzmaterial sind Datenverarbeitungsprogramme und/oder lizenzierte Datenbestände (Datenbanken) in maschinenlesbarer Form einschließlich der zugehörigen Dokumentation.

Haftung

Schadenersatzansprüche aus Unmöglichkeit der Leistung, Verschulden bei Vertragsabschluss und unerlaubter Handlungen sind gegenüber dem Kongressveranstalter ausgeschlossen, soweit nicht vorsätzliches oder grob fahrlässiges Handeln vorliegt.

Der Kongress-Veranstalter haftet nicht für die vermittelten Informationen, und zwar weder für deren Richtigkeit und Vollständigkeit, noch dafür, dass sie frei von Rechten Dritter sind oder die Übermittlung der Informationen rechts- oder sittenwidrig ist.

 

Schlussbestimmungen

Sollten einzelne Klauseln dieser allgemeinen Vertragsbedingungen ganz oder teilweise unwirksam sein oder sollte der Vertrag eine Lücke enthalten, bleibt die Wirksamkeit der übrigen Vertragsklauseln oder Teile dieser Klauseln unberührt. An die Stelle der unwirksamen oder fehlenden Klauseln treten die einschlägigen gesetzlichen Vorschriften. Die Parteien werden die Bedingungen als dann mit einer wirksamen Ersatzregelung durchführen, die dem mit der weggefallenen Bestimmung verfolgten Zweck am nächsten kommt.

Für die Bedingungen und deren Durchführung gilt ausschließlich österreichisches Recht.

Ausschließlicher Gerichtsstand für alle Ansprüche aus dem mit diesen Geschäftsbedingungen zusammenhängenden Vertrag und diesen Bedingungen ist der Sitz des Kongress-Veranstalters

By participating in the event / live stream, the participant declares that he / she agrees that the personal data disclosed may be processed in the course of the event.

Photo and video coverage of the event

We have a legitimate interest in taking photos and making films at our events, which are published on the Internet, on Facebook and in presentation materials and are used for advertising purposes.

Mailings

We have a legitimate interest in using the participants contact details for the electronic or postal transmission of direct mail about our other events. The participants also consent to the publication of photos and films from the event in the editorial and promotional context of the event as well as direct advertising about our other events.

Furthermore, we reserve the right to process the IP address to ensure that the live stream runs smoothly.

Participants have the right of access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing and revocation.

Revocation

Participants can revoke their consent to the processing of their personal data at any time by sending an email to office@create-connections.com. Please note in this context that the disclosure of your personal data and the consent to their processing are a prerequisite for participation in the event/livestream, as this is necessary for the execution of the event/livestream.
